In Habilitation Department physiotherapist evaluates child's gross motor function, discuss his condition and main problems in specialist team meetings together with parents. Physiotherapist set up individual habilitation programme where main goals are a prevention of disability, child's functional independence stimulation prevention of secondary disorders, normalising muscle tone, improvement of balance reactions and co-ordination, increase of muscle power, teaching of correct movements.
Physiotherapist carries out individual physiotherapy programme and evaluates efficiency of it, makes some corrections if need arises. Also physiotherapist provides parents with information and recommendation for further physiotherapy at home.
