Oral hygienist's work is to diagnose odontological diseases, and to expose and prevent their risk factors thus reducing the incidence and intensity of children's teeth caries and periodontal diseases. In Nursery department oral hygienist does preventive work, in the habilitation department - prevention and treatment as well as consultation of disabled children's parents. Oral hygienist works independently and in a team with other specialists, parents and group's staff.
In habilitation department oral hygienist consults children and their parents. Consult is provided following doctors referral or at the request of parents.
In the Nursery department oral hygienist exams every child and decides about necessity of treatment and frequency of preventive check-ups.
